A Home Designed with Security in Mind
Challenge
A West St. Louis County family building a custom home made security a top priority after a prior burglary. Most providers wouldn’t engage until after construction, requiring visible wiring and surface-mounted devices—something they didn’t want in a home they spent two years designing.
Solution
Centric got involved during the framing phase of construction and pre-wired the whole home for future technology as well as a dedicated equipment closet in the basement. Intrusion sensors were installed on every door and window, glass break sensors in the main living areas, and exterior cameras covering the perimeter and detached garage—all seamlessly integrated and completely hidden.
The finished system also included a full alarm system with keypads at both entries, remote camera access, and 24/7 monitoring with verified alarm response.
Result
The home was completed with all technology hidden and fully operational. Within the first month, monitoring caught a motion alert at 2:30am and dispatched patrol. It turned out to be a neighbor’s dog, so the homeowners were notified with an all-clear text.
